For products with members
Let your members post to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube from your product.
You make one API call per member. We give you a window where they connect their own accounts. Then you post for them through the API.
Get an API key Read the docsThree steps
- Create a member with one API call.
- Open the connect window. Your member signs in to their accounts on each network's own page.
- Post through the API.
What it looks like
Create a member:
curl -X POST https://YOUR-PULSE-URL/v1/partner/members \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PULSE_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"external_id": "user_8412", "name": "Amara Okafor"}'
Then ask for a connect window and send your member to the url in the answer:
curl -X POST https://YOUR-PULSE-URL/v1/partner/members/MEMBER_ID/connect-session \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PULSE_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"networks": ["linkedin", "instagram"]}'
The quickstart has all five calls, end to end.
What you get
- A hosted connect window. You do not build any sign-in screens.
- Limits per member, so nobody connects more than you allow.
- Errors in plain language that you can show to your members.
- Accounts connected without us ever seeing a password.
Networks show the posting service's name on their own sign-in page. Instagram needs a Business or Creator account and Facebook posts go to Pages: the networks do not allow apps to post to those personal accounts.
